Making My Mark’s mission is to create a community of understanding, kindness and empathy through suicide prevention education and awareness. Making My Mark understands that removing the stigma of suicide and creating a required community of acceptance for survivors will not happen after a single 60 minute presentation. Students and adults must be reminded throughout the year, through daily activities, that suicide can and does occur. Each day…at least thirteen times.

Making My Mark offers multiple programs to increase awareness throughout communities. When combined, these programs are reminders to all throughout the year that there are many people, perhaps friends, family members or classmate who may be considering suicide. We must be aware always. No matter how people present on the outside, they may hurt deeply on the inside. We must understand that suicide is preventable.
